Zermatt - SWITZERLAND

We embarked on a journey to Zermatt, our next destination, involving three train rides. Maneuvering our heavy luggage presented a challenge, but the scenic train journey, especially the final stretch from Visp to Zermatt ascending to 1600m, made it all worthwhile. The landscape transformed into a winter wonderland with snow-covered grounds and towering mountains, leaving us breathless. Lynette and I couldn't help but exchange smiles throughout the picturesque ride. Upon reaching Zermatt train station, a hotel manager warmly welcomed us, addressing us by name. Puzzled, I inquired how he knew, to which he simply replied, "I just knew." Thus began our extraordinary stay at the charming Hotel Romantica. The manager graciously collected our luggage transported us to the hotel in a quaint van, as Zermatt has no cars, only mini vans owned by various hotels. During check-in, Tor and Christina, the hotel staff, inquired about our preferences for activities. Eager to see the Matter...
