SWANSEA

Our next destination was the picturesque seaside town of Swansea, nestled on the north-west shores of Great Oyster Bay with magnificent views across the water to the rugged peaks of Freycinet National Park. Rich in history, Swansea was the first municipality established in Australia after Hobart and Sydney, yet today it is best known for its relaxed coastal charm and stunning coastal scenery. Upon arriving at Swansea Beach Chalets, we were delighted to receive an unexpected upgrade to a Premium Beachfront Chalet as a thoughtful gesture for Lynette's birthday trip to Tasmania. It was the perfect surprise. Opened in 2022, the contemporary chalet was bright, spacious and positioned just metres from the beach. Floor-to-ceiling windows and a private balcony overlooked Great Oyster Bay, while even the bedroom offered uninterrupted water views.
